Garima And Rupali

Me (Garima Bangard) and my friend Rupali Agrawal are running half Marathon on 27th November. We both have a rural background where access to good quality of education was difficult. But we were fortunate enough to get education with sheer will power of my parents. We have always felt privileged but did feel the pain of the ones who were not lucky enough.
“Every kid should have access to quality education” is something very dear to my heart. I have been involved with Asha since last 8 years and very impressed with its ideology and mission.
Running the half marathon is my way of demonstrating the commitment I have to Asha and its cause of working at the grassroots of poor Indian communities for socio-economic upliftment. Beginning as an organization working to bring education to underprivileged children, Asha’s mission today has grown to rejuvenating the entire community these children live in and holistically bettering not just their own lives but those of their families as well. Asha is a “Zero overhead” organization, completely driven by volunteers (including the administrative expenses) ensuring 100% of your donations are sent to our partner groups in India.
Muskaan is one such project supported by Asha for which I am a steward: http://new.ashanet.org/project/?pid=267
We both have committed to raise $350 and we need your help to achieve this goal.
