I have signed up “Mount Rainier Climb 2017” in support of “Asha for Education” to raise money for education of underprivileged children.
Since I moved to Seattle in 2001, I have admired Mount Rainer from multiple perspectives and always wanted to reach the summit. I have participated in many outdoor activities from sports to doing bicycle rides from Seattle to Portland (STP) since past 5 years but this year I wanted to take on my goal to reach the summit of Mount rainier (14,400 ft.) in the beautiful evergreen state of Washington.

This is something I am a strong believer in and as part of my training and conditioning for the climb I found a way to support a set of people through a reputed charity organization. My goal is to raise $1100 on top of my personal contributions to Asha during my training and climb to Mount Rainier.
What is Asha for Education?
Asha is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bringing about socio-economic change in India primarily through education. Asha has succeeded in touching the lives of thousands of children across the different projects that it has supported which deal with educational issues from pre-primary schooling to professional education in locations from urban slums to isolated rural areas. However, there is still a lot to be achieved since there are millions of children in India who do not have access to basic education.
