Subject: Climbing Mountains – For a Purpose
This past month, I stood at the summit of Mount Baker, a breathtaking 10,781-foot glaciated volcano in Washington, after months of training and climbing a mountain nearly every weekend. But this climb wasn’t just about testing my endurance. I did it as part of Team Asha, with a deeper purpose in mind: to support access to education for underprivileged children in India.
I was fortunate to grow up with access to a strong education. It opened doors, shaped my worldview, and gave me the tools to choose my path. But for millions of children in India, education remains a mountain – one they didn’t choose to climb, facing barriers like poverty, systemic inequality, and lack of resources.
That’s why I’ve pledged to raise $1,000 in support of Asha for Education. Asha is a highly respected nonprofit, consistently rated 4 out of 4 stars by Charity Navigator, with a 100% score in transparency and accountability. Remarkably, over 95% of donations go directly to projects on the ground, as the organization is entirely volunteer-driven.
Your support can make a meaningful impact. I’m asking you to give whatever amount feels right. No contribution is too small. Even a modest gift can help provide access to schools, books, technology, teacher training enabling children to break cycles of poverty through learning.
