I’m Snehal, and again this year in July I will be biking from Seattle to Portland (over 200 miles). This is my third year participating in this organized ride. All these years, I have been very fortunate to be able to train with Team Asha bikers. They have motivated me, pushed me to stretch my limits and do a little better every year. This year in addition to STP, I will also be participating in Gran Fondo Whistler, which goes from Vancouver to Whistler along the Sea-to-Sky highway.
I want to take this opportunity to raise awareness about the wonderful work undertaken by “Asha – for education”. What began as an effort to provide basic education to underprivileged children throughout India, has grown into a effort to provide a better foundation for local communities to combat the perils of illiteracy, poverty and exploitation.
