My Summer Plan: The Pacific Northwest, biking and a supporting education!
Hello everyone! I am Spoorthi and on July 15th and 16th I intend to bike 204 miles from Seattle to Portland in the STP-2017. It gives me immense pride to train alongside TeamAsha (Asha Biking Team) Seattle, WA with our joint goal to finish STP-2017.
While doing what I love I will be raising money for Asha for Education. I was introduced to Asha during one of my prior summer rides. Asha works to provide basic education to underprivileged children throughout India, I have selected them as my charity so that I can support this cause and raise awareness of Asha’s fantastic work.
Biking is my passion – Education is my privilege
Ever since I moved to Seattle all I wanted to do is to bike as many miles and climb as many hills I could in the surreal landscape of the Pacific Northwest. This means I train to build strength and endurance to explore those enchanting viewpoints a hard climb reveals. Biking helps me clear my mind and I feel every mile on the saddle helps me be a better person.
I am blessed with the time and means to pursue this passion. My education affords me these opportunities. Now, I want to share that opportunity with others so they too can pursue their passion.
Help support Asha and my fundraising goal of $500
Please support my efforts and Asha with whatever contribution you can make. Every dollar counts to deliver the opportunity of education to those who need it most. All donations are tax deductible, and the organization is registered with many corporate employers for donation-matching programs. Any contribution you make will help me move one step closer to my goal of contributing to the lives of many children.
Thank You.
