My Summer of 2018: Summit Mt Baker and Support Education
Hello everyone! I am Spoorthi and in the last week of June I intend to summit 10781 ft of Mt.Baker. It gives me immense pride to train alongside TeamAsha (Asha ClimbingTeam) Seattle, WA with our joint goal to summit the ever so beautiful mountains of the cascade range.
While doing what I enjoy I will be raising money for Asha for Education. I was introduced to Asha during one of my prior summer bike rides. Asha works to provide basic education to underprivileged children throughout India, I have selected them as my charity so that I can support this cause and raise awareness of Asha’s fantastic work.
Ever since I moved to Seattle all I wanted to do is to climb as many hills and bike as many miles I could in the surreal landscape of the Pacific Northwest. This means I train to build strength and endurance to explore those enchanting viewpoints a hard climb reveals. Every step into the woods helps me clear my mind, reconnect with myself and take life in stride.
I am blessed with the time and means to explore uncharted terrains. My education affords me these opportunities. Now, I want to share that opportunity with others, so they too can pursue their passion.
Help support Asha and my fundraising goal of $750
Please support my efforts and Asha with whatever contribution you can make. Every dollar counts to deliver the opportunity of education to those who need it most. All donations are tax deductible, and the organization is registered with many corporate employers for donation-matching programs. Any contribution you make will help me move one step closer to my goal of contributing to the lives of many children.
Thank You.
