Being in Redmond, the bicycle capital of Northwest, I have heard so much about the Seattle to Portland (STP) Bike ride from friends, colleagues, etc. that it created a desire in me to try this 204 miles ride on 16th July. Initially I was reluctant because of the effort it will require, and was not sure, if I had it in me. Thankfully, I have come this far and been enjoying the rides every weekend since mid-March.
This also gives me a great opportunity to serve a noble cause of providing basic education to the underprivileged kids in India through ‘Asha for Education’.
Every bit counts and makes a positive impact. So, please support me in this endeavor by donating any amount.
Why Asha for Education?
Asha is a “Zero overhead” organization, completely driven by volunteers (including the administrative expenses) ensuring 100% of your donations are sent to our partner groups in India. Beginning as an organization working to bring education to underprivileged children, Asha’s mission today has grown to rejuvenating the entire community these children live in and holistically improve not just their own lives but those of their families as well.
We’re asking you to sponsor our ride with whatever contribution you can make. All donations are tax deductible, and we are registered with many companies for donation-matching programs. Any contribution you make will help achieve my fundraising goals of $500 and go a long mile in bringing smiles, education, well-being and awareness to children and their communities.
