“The mountains are calling and I must go.” – John Muir
Growing up on Indian mythological tales and epic fantasy novels has fueled the allure of the mountains for me. The picturesque snow clad mountains of the Pacific Northwest have further ignited this desire. At 10,781 feet, Mt Baker, one of the snowiest places in the world, is very accessible and offers a wide variety of climbing for all skill levels. It provides the perfect opportunity to learn and hone my climbing skills.
What is Asha for Education?
Asha for Education is a non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to socio-economic change in India through the education of underprivileged children.
Why support me?
Education as Nelson Mandela observed can be a powerful weapon to change the world! I was privileged to afford the suitable education I needed. My goal is to raise funds for the programs supported by the Seattle chapter of Asha for Education. My aim is to raise $500 to support these education initiatives.
I have personally covered the cost of the climb, gear etc. This in essence is a call to support Asha for Education program and raise awareness. You can help me, by clicking the donate button. No amount is too small or too big, it all adds up to pave the way for someone’s bright future. Someone in need.
Thank you for your support 🙂
