Hi, I’m Rosario! I am currently a Research Scientist working in the Personal Robotics Laboratory at the University of Washington. I was introduced to Asha through a good friend and colleague in the lab, Tapomayukh Bhattacharjee. I could not think of a better way to pair my love for the mountains with a wonderful cause than by joining the Asha climbing team in raising funds for those in need. My goal is to raise ~.10¢ per foot of elevation I gain above sea level all the way to the summit at 14,411ft!
I ’m climbing Mt.Rainier this year and I’m doing it in partnership with the non-profit organization Asha. Together, we’re raising money to support educating underprivileged children in India. Any donations towards the cause will go a long way in terms of supporting the kids and motivating me to push myself to do this. As part of the training and to rack up more experience I’ll also be climbing Mt. Baker.
Please help me in my effort to climb Mount Rainier.
