Hello Everyone,
My name is Vivaan Magarkar and I am 12. I love biking, with my family. This will be the 2nd STP for me and my mother (Girija Aathalye) and 3rd for my father (Sanket Magarkar). That’s 206 miles with a 5000ft+ elevation. My experience last year was amazing, full of up and down hills.
Our training is sometimes fun, but not always. The best part of the ride for me is when it’s over; we eat something yummy. For the past three months, my Saturdays have become Saddle days, and I have already put 600+ miles on my bike. After every ride, I ask myself and my parents why I am doing this. No kidding!
What keeps us going is the bigger idea of raising funds for a good cause and sharing its story (Look at my T-shirt). Asha means hope in Hindi. I feel proud to contribute to charitable organization dedicated to providing basic education to underprivileged children throughout India.
How can you join me?
Call me or my parents if you want to join the good cause ride. At minimum, you can cheer us by contributing towards our goal of raising $1200 for the organization. No amount is small, and every penny you donate will go a long way in making a big difference in the lives of underprivileged children.
Why choose Asha for Education?
Besides their noble cause and work at the grass root level, Asha is a fully volunteer-driven organization and ensures more than 95% of the donations are sent to their partner groups in India. Click here to learn more about the projects supported by the Asha Seattle chapter all over India!
