This year marks the 10th anniversary of our first attempt of riding the Seattle To Portland (STP) Bicycle Classic (July 12-13, 2025). This is a 206 mile long route from Seattle, WA to Portland, OR on scenic local roads winding thru the picturesque Pacific Northwest landscape – it is an iconic event of the region.
Our bigger goal for the STP ride is to raise funds and awareness for the charitable organization ‘Asha for Education’. This organization began as an effort to provide basic education to underprivileged children throughout India. Asha is helping local communities combat the perils of illiteracy, poverty, and exploitation by providing them with tools and means of empowerment.
After riding a few STPs, we became active volunteers in the Team Asha Biking program, helping others make their wishes come true and simultaneously help underprivileged children in India.
How can you help? You can help by contributing towards our modest fundraising goal amount for Asha for Education. Every dollar you donate goes further by our matching your donation – together we make a huge positive impact on the lives of underprivileged children.
Why choose Asha for Education?
Besides their noble cause and work at the grass root levels, Asha is a “minimal overhead” organization, and consistently secures a 100% rating on Charity Navigator for several years! Their non-profits evaluation is based on transparency, accountability and financial parameters.
