I volunteer with the Asha biking team as ride lead during the seasons I am riding my bike. The years I am not riding my bike as a sport I volunteer behind the scenes by either helping with website related work or offering ride support for events like Flying Wheels and STP. I’ve been volunteering with Asha for 5 years nowI like to volunteer because it’s my way of giving back to the group that has given me so much in the past 6 years. There’s immense joy in helping new comers get accustomed to biking and seeing their confidence and love in the sport grow year over year. One fun fact about me is as a 6th grader I won first prize in my school for a “slow cycling race”
