After practicing with the Asha Biking Team for the last couple of years, this year I chose to volunteer as a Ride Lead. I help mentor new riders during practice rides and support them in preparing for longer-distance cycling events. I have been riding and practicing with the Asha Biking Team for the last couple of years, and this year I started volunteering as a Ride Lead.

I love volunteering with the Asha Biking Team because it feels like a family away from home. The senior volunteers are incredibly talented, and the advice and encouragement they provide are invaluable during long-distance rides. It’s rewarding to give back to the community that has helped me grow as a cyclist.

A fun fact about me is that I don’t like hills. And somehow, there always seems to be one final hill right before the finish line! But I’ve learned that if you want to reach a milestone, you have to earn it—so I keep pedaling anyway.
