Hi All!
My name is Abhi Gundala and I am riding the STP bike ride on the 13-14 of July. I am riding with my sister and a couple of other friends. I have been going to regular practices for the last four months. This is my first time doing STP and I am very enthused about riding 206 miles. It is a lot of fun training for the STP and I hope to do great on the actual day.
It has been exciting to persevere throughout all of these practices knowing that someone will have a better life because of it. When I visited India, I saw my grandpa help people through his foundation called AUM charitable trust in Hyderabad. I have seen how they were helping orphans and people in old age homes who were left behind by their own family. Previously, my family and friends have collected donations for this organization. This year, I would like to raise 500 dollars for Adruta Girls Home, located in Orissa, India. Adruta takes in young girls and educates them and makes them strong independent women. I feel education is the most effective tool which helps children build a strong foundation, enabling them to free themselves from the vicious cycle of ignorance and poverty. Raising money for this organization has been my main pushing factor all this time and will be my main factor even in the STP. I have always wanted to help people and what better way than to join Asha for Education.
What is ASHA?
ASHA for education is a 100% a non-profit organization which is completely volunteer-driven. They support several great causes such as providing educational opportunities to underprivileged kids.
To support the cause managed by ASHA’s Seattle Chapter, I have a target of collecting $500 to be used for educational purposes.
Asha for Education is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. Donations made are tax deductible.
Please help and donate money for this noble cause.
Thank You,
Abhi Gundala
