Amit Bhosle

Hi, I am Amit, a software engineer, living with my wife and our 16 year old son in Redmond, WA.

I got into long distance running in 2009 after a successful 40 lbs weight loss effort. I started with shorter distance races, did my first half marathon in Dec 2011, and got to the full marathon distance in 2013. My first ultramarathon was a 50K in 2016, and after a few more 50Ks and longer distances up to 100K, I successfully finished my first couple of 100 mile races towards the end of 2021. Here are some of my blog posts that talk in detail about my running journey:
My journey to my first 💯 miler!
Rio Del Lago 💯!

I have finished over a dozen marathon and ultramarathon races, with a marathon best time of 3:36, and a 100 mile time of 29:31.
I now train for marathon and ultra marathon races, with the ultimate goals in those races to be BQ for the marathon, and sub-24 hours for the 100 miles.
I have dedicated my upcoming 100 mile race (Badger Mountain Challenge 2022) to support the cause of Education through Asha, and I am aiming to raise $10,000 towards Asha’s efforts for educating underprivileged children in India.
