We (Sangeetha, Meghna and Mrinali) started hiking nearby mountains earlier this year when we joined a hiking group. We learnt about the Asha climbing program and particularly got inspired to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro. We were inspired by the effort Asha volunteers take to help achieve the goal and we decided to challenge ourselves. While chatting with my family about summiting Kilimanjaro my son Raj, was inspired and decided to climb with us.
We are delighted to summit Kilimanjaro next week and together we are raising money for ‘Asha for Education’, a charitable organization that primarily focuses on the education of underprivileged kids in India. Any donations towards the cause will go a long way in terms of supporting the kids and motivating us to push ourselves to do this.
