We are running 13.1 miles as part of Seattle Rock n’ Roll Marathon this June 2019.
We have decided to take our fitness to next level by getting train for Half Marathon and we have chosen Team ASHA Running program for our training.
We are raising funds for ‘Asha for Education’ to support access to basic education for children from underprivileged communities in India.
We both come from Lower middle-class family where we truly understand how education can change your life. We are here in USA just because of education.
This year our 5 year old Son (Darsh) has decided to not take any presents for his birthday and he asks his all friends to donate those money to Asha so that child in India get basic education. We couldn’t be more proud of him.
By running for Marathon, our goal is to raise $500 so that we can support giving education to unprivileged kids in India. As always we will match your donations dollar-to-dollar.
Please help us reach our modest goal of raising $500 with any contribution you can make. Every dollar donated makes a huge difference for so many children. It is amazing how far a dollar can go in helping those kids who struggle each day for a better life. Consider this:
- $120 will help a child get basic education for full academic year ($240 will cover education and living expenses for child with disability)

Team Asha Seattle has three programs – biking, running and climbing [ Asha Seattle Chapter Programs]. And having participated in each of these programs, I have seen the value of each small steps to reach the destination. Similarly, each donation – big or small, matters towards the goal.
