Hey there! I am Nimish and I am biking 206 miles from Seattle to Portland as part of STP 2019 on July 13-14.
This is my first time doing a long-distance bike ride, and it has been a blast training with fellow Asha volunteers on the bike trails of Pacific Northwest for months. I have been volunteering with Asha for about a year now, and I’m constantly in awe of the dedication that Asha volunteers put in to their projects and fundraising efforts for this awesome organization.
Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to driving change in India by focusing on the basic education of underprivileged children in the belief that education is a critical prerequisite for socio-economic change. They work with a variety of project partners and community groups in many education and development related endeavors.
Please help me reach my modest goal of raising $500 for Asha for Education. Every dollar donated makes a huge difference for so many children. Consider this: $10 will help a child get basic education for a month. $20 will cover the education and living expenses of a child with disability for a month. $40 will help support a primary school of about 25-30 children for a month.
