Dear Family & Friends,
This is Jaanya, and I am 8 years old. Since March 2022, I have been preparing hard for STP, a 207 mile bike ride from Seattle to Portland spanning over July 16 and 17. Every Saturday I go on a bike ride with team Asha. I am generous enough to take my Pappa with me on all the rides. I started off with a 10 mile practice and now my record is 70 miles per day! Here is a 90 second video overview of my practices.
In addition to having this as a personal challenge, my bigger goal for STP is to raise funds and awareness for the charitable organization ‘Asha for Education’. This organization began as an effort to provide basic education to underprivileged children throughout India. Asha is helping local communities combat the perils of illiteracy, poverty, and exploitation by providing them with tools and means of empowerment.
How can you help? You can help by contributing towards my modest fundraising goal amount for Asha for Education. Every dollar you donate will go a long way in making a huge positive impact in lives of underprivileged children.
Asha is a “minimal overhead” organization, driven by volunteers (including the administrative expenses) ensuring that more than 95% of our donations are sent to their partner groups in India. Asha for Education has consistently secured a 100% rating on Charity Navigator, a well-established database that evaluates non-profit organizations on the basis of transparency, accountability and financial parameters. Thank you for your time and your donation!!
Note that Asha is a registered 501(c) organization, and all donations are tax deductible.
