Hello,
On July 15th and July 16th 2023, I will be riding from Seattle, WA to Portland, OR for the annual STP bike ride. The ride is 206 miles in total, and we ride through the spectacular Pacific Northwest hills and backcountry roads. I have been training hard since February this year to prepare for this ride.
While I would personally benefit from good health, my bigger goal for the STP ride is to raise funds and awareness for the charitable organization ‘Asha for Education’. This organization began as an effort to provide basic education to underprivileged children throughout India. Asha is helping local communities combat the perils of illiteracy, poverty, and exploitation by providing them with tools and means of empowerment.
I firmly believe education is the most important thing to uplift every individual. Even today, there are countless children across India that are deprived of this basic right because of lack of money. To create a level playing field, they should be provided with easy access to education and this is what I am striving for. My goal is to raise $600 and I pledge to match it dollar for dollar and double the donation amount. I am asking for support from the community for this.
