Hello Friends,
So many underpriviledged kids go without food or education in India. Every time I visit India and see kids on the street, I have a strong calling to help. Who could they be if they had access to same education and nutrition as our kids have?
So this year I have decided increase awareness about ways in which we all could help. Asha for education is trying to make a difference in the kids lives. They work with local organization and makes sure most of the money donated actually goes to the kids.
Asha for Education has attained a 98.59 and 4-star on Charity Navigator(America’s largest and most-utilized independent evaluator of charities).
In order to raise money for this cause, I am participating in a bike ride of 206 miles from Seattle to Portland. This year, due to COVID it will be a virtual event. But we will do this same distance with elevation gain of 5000 feet.
I am training very hard to complete this bike ride. I am very happy that due to have a lot of volunteer support, almost 100% of my money will be used to make a difference to these kids lives.
Some of the projects are for kids with special needs as well.
If you could find it in your heart to make a small donation of any amount that you can spare, it will go a long way towards improving the life of a kid. If you feel like doing more you can even sponsor a child (hyperlink this https://ashanet.org/support-a-child/). It only costs 15 – 30 dollars a MONTH. It will probably change their life forever.
Asha for education is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, so all donations are tax deductible and employer match eligble. Most big tech companies do this.
