Hey there!
I am Vaibhav Bora and I am biking 204 miles from Seattle to Portland as part of STP 2018 on July 14-15.
This is my first long distance ride and it has been a lot of fun riding, training, learning to push my limits on the bike trails of Pacific Northwest every week since March.
Being new to Seattle, the training has enabled me to see so many different areas and neighborhoods of the greater Seattle area on the bike saddle (much better than driving and faster than walking!), with the great company of fellow riders. The abundance of natural beauty – farms, forests, rivers, animals on the trail are just stunning and I hope to take my family to all these places.
I would like to take this opportunity to raise awareness and funds for Asha – for education. Asha, which means hope in Hindi, is a charitable organization whose mission statement is “To catalyze socio-economic change in India through education of underprivileged children.” Asha has a very good track record and it has provided underprivileged children an opportunity to improve their and their family’s lives through education. I encourage you to visit their website to see the projects they are currently working on.
