Hi! I am Rahul Pillalamarri and I am running 13.1 miles!!!!!This is my second time running the seattle marathon with Asha. 🙂
Education, endeavor, and empower! These are three words I live by.
We all live with many privileged and resources that are available at our fingertips. I too took things for granted just like everyone else I know. When I first started my training, I was really lazy, it was a big struggle to get up and try again and again. Running with Asha week after week helped me improve my endurance and I fell in love with running. I enjoyed running and entered in my first marathon last December. After my first run, I started realizing that by endeavoring to do something new and be more active, I am empowered because I have made a positive impact in my life. I learnt about the opportunity to be able to support a good cause such as helping provide education to kids in areas that don’t have all the resources that I do. This motivated me even further. Running has made such a big impact in my life and will continue to be a huge part of my life. By running these next marathons in Seattle, I want to be able to do what I enjoy and give purpose to my runs so that the education that kids get from the fundraising I do will empower them to endeavor into new ventures just like I have. Now that you know my story, I would like to ask all of you out there to please help support this cause by donating any amount of money for my fundraising. As professional runners put it, one step in the right direction makes a huge change.
