Aava Sikchi

On July 21, I will be climbing Mt. St. Helens along with my dad and friends. The total climb is ten miles roundtrip and the route gains 4,500 feet to the crater rim at 8,365 feet elevation.

I have been training since spring, and I’m very excited. I want my efforts to go towards raising awareness and funds for Adruta Children’s Home.

Adruta Children’s Home is a home for destitute girl children in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. For the past eight years, it has successfully taken care of 40 girls from birth to 21 years of age. The children are provided with food, housing, and medical care in the Home and are sent to local schools for education. Special emphasis is given to extracurricular activities such as dance, music, meditation, and painting. They have an internationally recognized dance team that has won several competitions all over India. Adruta’s mission is to help the girls to be educated, successful women and to help them develop and pursue their interests and talents.

Adruta has accomplished this without any government aid and only through generous support of donors like you.

All money donated will go directly to Adruta. Please help me in making sure that this Home is able to help as many children as possible.

Thank you,
Aava
