Hello!
We are Kanwaljeet and Jaskaran; father and son duo riding from Seattle to Portland this year.
Last year when Jaskaran’s dad participated in STP for the first time and was able to complete it by training with the Asha team, 11 year old Jaskaran got very much interested in participating in STP. Jaskaran has been bugging his dad to ride bike with him ever since, so that he can get ready for STP 2016. So here we are, we have been training for it pretty much all year round, but more rigorously with Asha team recently, so that we can complete the 204 mile ride from Seattle to Portland.
While we enjoy biking, this is also our way of demonstrating the commitment we have to Asha and its cause of working at the grassroots of poor Indian communities for socio-economic upliftment. Beginning as an organization working to bring education to underprivileged children, Asha’s mission today has grown to rejuvenating the entire community these children live in and holistically bettering not just their own lives but those of their families as well
Jaskaran who is 12 years old now, he’s going to ride 204 miles while supporting Asha, I hope you would very much appreciate that and consider donating to Asha.
Thanks!
