“If a man achieves victory over this body, who in the world can exercise power over him?”- Vinoba Bhave
Over the years, I have stretched my limits when it comes to fitness and have participated in notable fund raising events including Susan G. Komen 60 miles walk, STP 2016, Flying Wheels 2016, few 1/2 marathons and every single time, I have felt an inexpressible satisfaction when I have overcome a new challenge for myself along with raising funds for a noble cause.
So, when I heard about Team Asha Biking program, which is a fundraiser for Asha for Education(Seattle), I started preparing to experience this unique challenge of cycling from Seattle To Portland.
I have set a personal target to raise $500 and I would request everyone to support and help me surpass this target. Please see if your employer can match your donation, it would really help. Thanks for your support in advance.
Why do I support ‘Asha for Education’?
I have not forgotten my roots and I know that Indian students can work wonders if given the right education and infrastructure.
Since its inception, Asha has partnered with more than 800+ NGOs from across 24 states in India and has disbursed in excess of $32 million and is one of the credible NGO’s.
They not only to look at issues concerning access to education, but also to ensure that every child has access to an education that is meaningful.
