Karishma and I feel privileged and fortunate that our parents could afford to send us to school, to college, and to have us educated. You and I can attest to the fact that Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life.
I am passionate about biking and I am embarking on my second STP – 205.5 miles from Seattle to Portland on July 13-14 to raise donations for Asha for Education, a charitable organization that primarily focuses on the education of underprivileged kids in India. This time I will attempt to complete the ride in a single day and Karishma will be my much-needed support during the ride.
Why do we support ‘Asha for Education’?
I am riding for Team Asha to support a cause which is dear to us – Socio-economic equality through the education of underprivileged children. Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to change in India, focusing on basic education of underprivileged children with the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change. They work with a variety of project partners and community groups in many educational and development related endeavors.
