Hello All,
We are Naveena, Yaso, and Arjun, and this year on July 11-12, we will be riding the 206-mile Seattle-to-Portland (STP) bike ride and are excited to ride together as a family, in support of Asha for Education.
For us, this ride is not just a cycling event—it is a shared journey built around something we deeply believe in: the power of education. We truly value education and have seen how it can transform lives, open opportunities, and create lasting change across generations.
This year’s ride is especially meaningful for our family.
Arjun is completing his 4th STP at just 14. His journey began at age 7 on a trailer bike with his dad. He has since completed two more rides alongside his dad and uncle Yaso — making STP a cherished family tradition. This year brings a new chapter: his first STP with his mom, Naveena.
For Naveena, this will be her 2nd STP ride, and it is special because she will be riding with both her son and brother for the first time. Sharing this experience together makes this year’s ride deeply personal and memorable.
For Yaso, this will be his 3rd STP ride. This year is memorable as he joins his sister, Naveena, and nephew, Arjun, for their first STP ride together as a family. His calm, supportive, and easygoing attitude brings positivity and fun to even the toughest miles.
We have committed to nearly 1,000 miles of training leading up to STP, including a recent 100-mile training ride. While the ride is a significant physical challenge, what motivates us most is the opportunity to support a cause we deeply believe in—the power of education to transform lives.
