Every mountain I have climbed, I have walked away with something so much valuable: a sense of strength, accomplishment, inspiration and confidence!!
Back in India while growing up I didn’t have any foundation of an outdoor. I started hiking for stress relief. Getting into nature offered me a way to find silence and clarity and it is the best remedy to unclog the mind of unnecessary and focus on bigger picture. There is no greater feeling than hiking a mountain and making it to the top. The rewards were so great that I decided to make this a bigger goal and put my energy and resources into something more meaningfully. Here I am, talking about one of my biggest commitment of year 2020. I am climbing Kilimanjaro to support Asha for Education. I know it is most challenging journey to the summit and I have never hiked this high before but I am sure I will get to the top of this and come out stronger, a better version of myself.

Asha for Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of basic education in rural and economically poor-areas and, to provide financial assistance to grassroots educational movements in India. It is a “minimal overhead” organization, driven by volunteers (including the administrative expenses) ensuring that more than 95% of the donations are sent to our partner groups in India and put in good use. Asha for Education has consistently secured a 100% rating on Charity Navigator, a well established database that evaluates non-profit organizations on the basis of transparency, accountability and financial parameters.
With Asha, I want to support the young kids in India who have big dreams like you and me but lack the means to fulfill them. They need our help to bring their dreams to life.
